George Terry of Corporate Eagle Receives 2017 ATP/NATA General Aviation Service Award

George Terry of Corporate Eagle Receives 2017 ATP/NATA General Aviation Service Award

The ATP/NATA General Aviation Service Award was established in 1987 and recognizes a licensed airframe and powerplant mechanic or radio repairman who has shown an extraordinary performance of the craft for over 20 years. Each year, ATP and National Air Transportation Association (NATA) are proud to recognize the accomplishments of many nominees and narrow down the decision to one individual who exemplifies the dedication and leadership required to inspire the next generation of aviation leaders.

It is our pleasure to congratulate George Terry of Corporate Eagle, the recipient for the 2018 award. Thank you, George, for your hard work and commitment to this industry.

George has been working within the industry for nearly 30 years – 18 years as a dedicated member of the Corporate Eagle team. Within six months of joining Corporate Eagle, George earned the position of Vice President, Director of Maintenance Operations, for his knowledge, instinct, and leadership. Since then, he has maintained an accident-free environment, ensured the safety and effectiveness of the fleet, and increased total aircraft flight hours.

ATP/NATA General Aviation Service Award

George is a highly valued and successful member of the Corporate Eagle team. He is always prepared, is trustworthy, and a natural when it comes to solving problems. With his extensive work keeping aircraft in top-of-the-line shape, and confidence in his work, he has gained an excellent reputation within the industry. When Corporate Eagle added the Falcon 2000 to their fleet, George was tasked with creating the 300+ page general maintenance manual, that was approved by the FAA. When this aircraft was added, George managed the maintenance team to ensure everything ran smoothly.

To promote interest in aviation and motivate new generations of well-trained technicians it is important that they are taught and mentored by individuals within the industry. George, with his abundant knowledge of record keeping, quality control of the fuel farm, and experience working with the FAA, is a great mentor and has contributed to the education of several individuals who want to work in this industry.

George influenced the decision to require all Corporate Eagle technicians to attend, at least once a year, trainings associated with aircraft. He attends these trainings as well to ensure that both, he and his team, are experts on the aircraft. With George’s extraordinary performance, Corporate Eagle can guarantee members get the special touch and white-glove service that will instill confidence in the company and the aircraft.

The award will be presented on June 13th, during the 2018 Aviation Business Conference, by NATA’s President Marty Hiller and Tim Taylor, VP Business Development at ATP, at the Grand Hyatt Washington, Washington D.C.

Congratulations George, we admire your passion, dedication, and hard work within this industry.
